Sant Jordi Puerta del Sol is a brand new hostel run by young and friendly staff. Since we are travelers ourselves, we know exactly what is needed to have a great hostel experience. Whether it be insider tips on the best bars and clubs, showers with enough water pressure to hose off an elephant or just relaxing while watching a movie on the couch, staying here can only enhance your experience in Madrid.
The location is ideal. The hostel is 100 meters from Puerta del Sol, in the heart of the city. Most tourist sites are within walking distance, and the Sol metro station is one block from the hostel. Our street and those closeby are lined with some of the best restaurants to enjoy some tapas or paella with a pitcher of sangria. Various types of clubs are also very close if you feel like staying out late and partying until the sunrise.
There is a common area equipped with a TV and DVD player, guide books for both here and future destinations as well as a book exchange. A great place to meet new friends and relax after time spent away from the hostel. There´s also a small kitchen for those of you who like to cook your own food or that are travelling on a budget. Free coffee and tea are provided and there are also a number of spices and kitchen necessities which you are welcome to use. Four computers with free internet access are a great way to keep in touch while you are on the road and plan your upcoming travel plans.
Brand new mattresses with clean linen provided free of charge. Lockers are inside each of the rooms for your security and towels and laundry are available for a small fee.
